A Royal Decree was issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, appointing Prince Ahmed bin Fahd bin Salman Al Saud as Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province on 25 Rajab 1438 AH. He is the third grandson of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and was born on 23 Dhul-Hijjah 1405 AH, corresponding to September 9, 1985.

His Highness Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaad bin Jalawi bin Turki bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Saud (born 1377 AH / 1958 AD) is the youngest son of Prince Abdulaziz bin Musaad bin Jalawi Al Saud, cousin of King Abdulaziz Al Saud and one of his commanders.

His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (born 1375 AH / 1956 AD) is the Governor of the Eastern Province. He is the eldest son of Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and previously served as Chief of the Crown Prince’s Court and Special Advisor to the Crown Prince.
