Former Princes of the Province

His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has held several prominent positions, including serving as Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Kingdom of Spain, Advisor to the Second Deputy Prime Minister and Assistant Minister of Interior for General Affairs, and later as Chief of the Crown Prince’s Court.

1434 AH - Now

was born in Riyadh in 1950. His first government position was Assistant Deputy Minister of Interior, a post he held until 10 Jumada Al-Thani 1405 AH (1985 AD), when he was appointed Governor of the Eastern Province.

1405AH - 1434AH

was one of the sons of Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Al Saud. He first served as Governor of Dhahran, then as Governor of Al-Ahsa, and later was appointed Governor of the Eastern Province following the death of his brother, Prince Saud bin Jalawi.

1387AH - 1405AH

was born in Riyadh in 1319 AH (1901 AD). He was appointed by King Abdulaziz as Governor of Al-Ahsa and Al-Qatif, succeeding his father, and continued his father’s approach in governance. The region was later named the Eastern Province, and the Emirate’s headquarters was moved to the city of Dammam.

1354AH - 1386AH

was born in Riyadh in 1870. He was a cousin and close companion of King Abdulaziz, as well as the grandson of the founder of the Second Saudi State. Prince Abdullah played a key role in the reconquest of Riyadh and participated in numerous battles of unification. He later served as Governor of Al-Qassim and subsequently Governor of Al-Ahsa until his death, may Allah have mercy on him.
