His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, received today (Sunday) at his office in the Emirate headquarters Dr. Fahad bin Ahmed Al Harbi, President of Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, accompanied by a number of senior university officials, on the occasion of the start of the new academic year.
His Royal Highness the Deputy Governor emphasized that the leadership’s continued support and attention to the education sector have contributed to advancing educational development. He highlighted the importance of continuing to improve the quality of academic programs, advance scientific research and innovation, and equip students with the knowledge and skills needed for the future, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Dr. Al Harbi presented an overview of the University’s preparations for the new academic year, including admission and registration plans, admission rates, and the number of students admitted across various disciplines and academic programs. He also reviewed the measures taken to welcome students and prepare a suitable academic and campus environment, as well as the readiness of colleges, facilities, classrooms, and laboratories. The presentation also covered the development of educational, digital, and support services and orientation programs for new students, contributing to a stimulating learning environment, an improved university experience, and preparing students for academic success and excellence.
Dr. Al Harbi expressed his appreciation to His Royal Highness the Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province for the continued support and attention extended to the University, affirming its commitment to further developing its educational and research ecosystem, strengthening its contribution to serving the community, and supporting development across the region.
