His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, received today, Monday, at his office at the Governorate’s headquarters, Colonel Ahmed bin Othman Al-Othman, Commander of the Special Environmental Security Forces in the Eastern Province. Colonel Al-Othman briefed His Royal Highness on the environmental security efforts and activities in the region.
His Royal Highness emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to protect the environment and preserve natural resources, enhancing compliance with environmental laws and regulations, and strengthening monitoring and awareness. These efforts contribute to curbing environmental violations, preserving natural assets, improving quality of life, and ensuring the sustainability of resources.
Colonel Al-Othman briefed His Royal Highness on the efforts of the Special Environmental Security Forces in the region, highlighting their key responsibilities and activities in strengthening environmental monitoring, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and curbing practices that negatively impact the environment. He also outlined the programs and initiatives implemented to promote environmental awareness and enhance coordination with relevant entities in support of natural resource conservation and environmental protection.
Colonel Al-Othman expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province for his support and interest, stressing that this represents an incentive to continue efforts in protecting the environment and preserving its natural resources.
