His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, received today, Sunday, at his office at the Governorate’s headquarters His Excellency the Eastern Province Municipality Secretary, Eng. Fahad bin Mohammed Al-Jubair.
His Royal Highness highlighted the rapid growth witnessed across the region in the tourism, entertainment, and investment sectors, as well as its diverse assets and potential that position it to attract more high-quality projects. He stressed the importance of continuing to develop an enabling investment environment that supports economic and tourism activity while expanding employment and development opportunities for Saudi men and women.
Al-Jubair briefed His Royal Highness on the success of the first season of the Dammam Global City project, which attracted more than 3 million visitors over five months. He explained that the second season represents a major development phase through the expansion of facilities, international pavilions, and entertainment and investment zones, in addition to introducing new destinations and experiences focused on culture, entertainment, artificial intelligence, and robotics.
The second season aims to welcome approximately 5.2 million visitors, while also creating employment opportunities, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, and empowering national talent. Al-Jubair emphasized that the project represents a successful model of partnership between the Eastern Province Municipality and the private sector in investing in municipal assets and enhancing quality of life as well as economic and tourism activity across the region.
