His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, reviewed the efforts and programs of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance branch in the region during the 1447 AH Hajj season. This came during his reception of the branch’s Director General, Sheikh Omar bin Faisal Al-Duwaish, at his office in the Emirate’s Diwan on Tuesday.
Al-Duwaish presented His Royal Highness with an overview of the branch’s key activities during the 1447 AH Hajj season. He explained that services provided through the region’s entry points included distributing religious and awareness publications, as well as providing pilgrims with a welcoming gift upon arrival. He also highlighted the branch’s efforts to distribute the gift of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques—the Holy Quran, along with translations of its meanings—to pilgrims departing through the region’s border crossings.
