His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, launched today (Tuesday) at his office in the Emirate headquarters the seasonal influenza vaccination campaign, implemented by the Eastern Health Cluster, in the presence of its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Abdulaziz Al Ghamdi.
His Royal Highness the Governor emphasized the importance of preventive vaccination programs in reducing the spread of seasonal illnesses and strengthening community immunity, particularly among groups at greater risk of health complications. He also commended the efforts of healthcare sectors in disease prevention and promoting health awareness among members of the community.
Dr. Al Ghamdi explained that the campaign aims to reach priority groups and those most in need of the influenza vaccine. He noted that the vaccine is available at all primary healthcare centers affiliated with the Cluster. The campaign also includes field teams that will reach beneficiaries at their locations, facilitating access to vaccination and increasing the reach of the campaign’s services.
Dr. Al Ghamdi expressed his appreciation to His Royal Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province for his continued support and attention to health initiatives and preventive programs, noting that this support contributes to efforts to raise health awareness, prevent seasonal illnesses, and promote the health and safety of communities across the region.
