His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, launched today, Wednesday, at his office at the Governorate’s headquarters, the sixth edition of the Excellence Award for Non-Profit Organizations. This came during His Royal Highness’s reception of Dr. Abdullah bin Rashid Al-Khalidi, Chairman of the Board of the Non-Profit Organizations Council in the Eastern Province, accompanied by members of the Council.

His Royal Highness highlighted the important role of non-profit organizations in supporting development and strengthening the contribution of the non-profit sector to serving the community. He emphasized the importance of advancing institutional performance and adopting outstanding practices that contribute to achieving sustainable development impact. His Royal Highness stressed that such excellence and institutional work should directly benefit beneficiaries by providing them with high-quality services through the programs and initiatives offered by non-profit organizations, thereby strengthening their presence and role in serving the community.

Al-Khalidi briefed His Royal Highness on the award’s objectives, categories, and tracks, which seek to promote institutional excellence within the non-profit sector, encourage non-profit organizations to adopt best practices, enhance performance efficiency, foster innovation, and develop high-impact projects that contribute to maximizing and sustaining developmental impact.

He explained that the sixth edition features two main categories: Outstanding Non-Profit Organizations across their various classifications, and Outstanding Community Project, based on criteria designed to promote positive competition and share outstanding practices and experiences in non-profit work.
