His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, launched today, Wednesday, at the Eastern Province Chamber headquarters, the “Tamkeen” platform, one of the initiatives of the Eastern Province Young Business Council. The platform aims to provide unified digital access to support, financing, empowerment programs, and related services through a single platform.
His Royal Highness emphasized that supporting entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and empowering young business leaders, are key enablers for strengthening the competitiveness of the national economy. He highlighted the importance of digital initiatives that facilitate access to available support, financing, and services, enabling entrepreneurs to benefit from them more effectively, supporting the growth and sustainability of their businesses, and advancing the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing the SME sector and enhancing its contribution to the national economy.
Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Faraj, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Province Chamber, affirmed that the Chamber places significant emphasis on young business leaders and entrepreneurship, driven by its belief in the role of youth in shaping the future of the national economy. He noted that the Eastern Province Young Business Council serves as an effective platform for empowering the new generation of entrepreneurs, strengthening connections between them, the business community, and supporting entities, and helping transform promising ideas and initiatives into sustainable projects with economic and developmental impact.
Al-Faraj explained that the Council’s activities in its new term build on the achievements of previous terms and reaffirm the Eastern Province Chamber’s commitment to developing initiatives and programs that respond to the needs of young business leaders, help them overcome challenges, and capitalize on available opportunities amid the transformations taking place in the Saudi economy.
Eng. Rami bin Saleh Al-Sayed, Chairman of the Eastern Province Young Business Council, explained that the “Tamkeen” platform was launched in response to the need to facilitate access for entrepreneurs and SMEs to the available support ecosystem. The platform brings together programs, services, and financing and advisory opportunities in one digital platform, powered by the latest artificial intelligence technologies. He noted that the Council will continue throughout its new term to launch high-impact initiatives that contribute to developing the entrepreneurship ecosystem and connecting young business leaders with entities and programs that support their growth and expansion.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Royal Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province honored the sponsors of the “Shor Delni for Business 2026” Forum, which was held under his patronage at the Eastern Province Chamber in cooperation with Delni Business Center, one of the initiatives of the Social Development Bank.
The forum set a new Guinness World Records achievement for the largest number of startup development consultations delivered worldwide in less than eight hours, with a total of 523 consultations. The initiative aims to stimulate the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the region by providing specialized advisory support to owners of startups and SMEs, as well as aspiring entrepreneurs, thereby enhancing opportunities for business growth and sustainability and supporting the development of the region’s entrepreneurship environment.
