His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, received today, Monday, at his office at the Governorate’s headquarters Eng. Maher bin Abdullah Al-Qathami, CEO of the King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority.
His Royal Highness emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to protect the environment and natural resources, supporting initiatives aimed at their sustainability, developing programs focused on protecting environmental components, and making the most of natural assets to achieve environmental and developmental impact within protected areas.
Al-Qathami briefed His Royal Highness on the key achievements in environmental protection, community development, heritage preservation, and supporting ecotourism. He also highlighted the Authority’s efforts in implementing its strategy for 2025–2030 through clear plans and defined performance indicators. He noted that the Authority achieved a 100% completion rate for its targets and projects in 2025, while continuing to build diverse partnerships, implement programs and initiatives, and develop the capabilities of its personnel. These efforts also included field and monitoring activities, participation in various events, and the launch of awareness campaigns.
Al-Qathami expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province for his guidance and continued support for the Authority’s work. He affirmed the Authority’s commitment to expanding partnerships and achieving its strategic targets efficiently, contributing to greater environmental and developmental impact.
