
His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, sponsored today, Monday, at the Emirate headquarters, a ceremony honoring participants in the “A Hand Plants, a Land Flourishes” initiative, organized by the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification in the Eastern Province.
HRH the Governor highlighted the importance of environmental initiatives that contribute to developing vegetation cover and preserving natural resources. His Highness affirmed that advancing environmental sustainability requires integrated efforts among government, private, and nonprofit entities, as well as members of the community, contributing to sustainable development goals and enhancing quality of life.
His Highness noted that developing vegetation cover and protecting the environment are shared responsibilities that require continued efforts and greater community participation. He commended the contributions of participating sectors and volunteers in supporting environmental initiatives that improve the local environment and raise awareness of the importance of preserving natural resources.
Eng. Yousef bin Suleiman Al-Badr, Director of the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification in the Eastern Province, delivered a speech highlighting the initiative’s key outcomes and the environmental and community gains achieved through the participation of government, private, and nonprofit entities, as well as volunteers. He affirmed the continued implementation of programs and initiatives that contribute to developing vegetation cover and advancing environmental sustainability across the region.
