His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, launched today, Thursday, at his office at the Emirate headquarters, the third edition of the “Ideal Factory” Award, organized by the Friends of the Environment Association in partnership with a number of government and strategic entities. The award aims to raise environmental compliance standards in the industrial sector and encourage the adoption of best environmental practices.

HRH the Governor affirmed that protecting the environment and preserving its resources are key pillars of sustainable development, with the support and attention of the wise leadership, may Allah protect them. His Highness noted that initiatives encouraging establishments to adopt best environmental practices help strengthen a culture of compliance, improve performance efficiency, and contribute to building a more sustainable and competitive industrial sector in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Dr. Talal Al-Rashid, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Environment Association, presented HRH the Governor with an overview of the award. He explained that its third edition adopts a more comprehensive vision and features strategic partnerships that strengthen integration between environmental and industrial entities. This contributes to establishing a culture of environmental compliance and encouraging industrial establishments to adopt sustainable best practices.

He added that the award continues to support environmental sustainability and promote positive competition among factories and industrial establishments, contributing to a more efficient sector committed to applicable requirements. He noted that the third edition expands the scope of its partnerships by involving a number of relevant government and strategic entities from the environmental and industrial sectors, further enhancing institutional integration and supporting environmental excellence across the industrial sector.
