Governor receives the Director of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance branch in the region.

His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, received Sheikh Omar bin Faisal Al-Duwaish, Director General of The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in Eastern Province, at his office in the Emirate’s Diwan on Tuesday.

Al-Duwaish presented His Royal Highness with the final report on the branch’s activities and services provided to pilgrims through the region’s border crossings during the 1447 AH Hajj season. The services included distributing 9,903 religious and awareness publications, 5,032 electronic library cards, delivering 1,160 religious messages, and answering 2,649 religious questions and inquiries. The branch also distributed 6,787 welcome gifts to pilgrims arriving through the region’s border crossings.

During the departure phase, the branch distributed the gift of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques—the Holy Quran and translations of its meanings—with a total of 16,318 copies distributed to departing pilgrims through the region’s border crossings.
