
His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, received today, Wednesday, at his office at the Emirate headquarters, Mr. Abdul Latif bin Abdullah Al-Rajhi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Food Bank “Etam,” accompanied by members of the Board and a number of supporting partners.
HRH the Governor emphasized the importance of efforts to reduce food waste and maximize the use of surplus food through organized and sustainable practices. His Highness noted that preserving blessings and promoting responsible consumption represent religious, national, and community values, contributing to food security and strengthening social solidarity. He also stressed the importance of continuing impactful initiatives that raise awareness and create a tangible positive impact on society.
Al-Rajhi presented HRH the Governor with an overview of the fifth edition of the “Hajj Without Waste” campaign for 1447 AH/2026, implemented by the association during the Hajj season. He highlighted the campaign’s key initiatives, programs, and achievements in reducing food waste and utilizing surplus food in accordance with the highest safety and quality standards.
