His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, received in his office at the Emirate's Diwan today, Wednesday, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Khaleej Club, Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Akhrida, accompanied by several board members and athletes, on the occasion of the sports achievements realized by the club during the 2025–2026 sports season.
HRH the Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to develop the sports ecosystem in clubs and raise technical and administrative efficiency. This contributes to enhancing club competitiveness across various levels and achieving positive results that reflect the growth witnessed by the sports sector in the region, congratulating the club's staff and players on their achievements during the sports season.
The Chairman of the Board presented to HRH the Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province an overview of the club's key achievements during the season, which included the senior handball team winning the Saudi Premier League, the Saudi Super Cup, the Saudi Federation Cup, and the Elite Cup. This is in addition to the distinguished achievements accomplished by the club's various sports teams in swimming, women's athletics, and archery, reflecting the diversity of sports successes achieved by the club.
Eng. Ahmed Akhrida expressed his thanks and appreciation to HRH the Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province for his support and interest, confirming that HRH's follow-up and keenness to support the sports sector and motivate athletes represent a major driver to continue working and achieving further accomplishments, enhancing the Eastern Province's standing in the sports arena.
