His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, received in his office at the Emirate's Diwan today, Monday, the President of King Faisal University, Prof. Dr. Adel bin Mohammed Abu Zanada, accompanied by several university vice presidents and leaders, on the occasion of the university achieving 35th rank globally and leading Saudi and Gulf universities in THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026.
HRH the Governor of the Eastern Province congratulated the leaders of King Faisal University on this global achievement, emphasizing that the advanced positions achieved by Saudi universities in international rankings and indicators reflect the support and attention given to the education sector by the wise leadership—may God support it. HRH noted that it embodies the excellence achieved by Saudi universities in education, research, innovation, and community service, contributing to enhancing the Kingdom's competitiveness and global leadership, wishing the university staff continued success and further accomplishments.
Prof. Abu Zanada presented to HRH the Governor of the Eastern Province an overview of the key efforts and initiatives that contributed to this achievement and what it reflects in terms of qualitative development in the university's performance and excellence in the fields of education, research, innovation, community service, and sustainability—in line with Saudi Vision 2030 targets and reinforcing the university's position in performance indicators and global competitiveness.
Prof. Abu Zanada expressed his thanks and appreciation to HRH the Governor of the Eastern Province for the support and care received by the university, confirming that this achievement comes as an extension of the great support given to the education sector in the Kingdom by the wise leadership—may God support it—and the continuous support and follow-up from His Excellency the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Universities Affairs Council, which contributed to Saudi universities achieving qualitative accomplishments regionally and internationally.
