The Eastern Province Emirate, in collaboration with the Eastern Province branch of the Human Rights Commission, organized an awareness lecture titled “Human Rights in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.” The lecture was part of the Emirate’s awareness programs aimed at enhancing human rights awareness among its employees and increasing their knowledge of relevant national laws and regulations, contributing to a culture of respect for rights and adherence to the principles underpinning them.

The lecture was delivered by Ms. Nawal Al-Bawardi, Acting Director of the Human Rights Commission’s Eastern Province branch. She highlighted the key foundations of the Kingdom’s human rights framework and its ongoing development, supported by the Kingdom’s leadership. She also introduced the legal and regulatory frameworks that safeguard rights and promote justice, as well as the role of relevant authorities in monitoring their implementation.

The lecture also addressed the importance of raising awareness of rights and responsibilities, strengthening individual and institutional responsibility for protecting rights, and highlighting the impact of human rights awareness on the workplace. It emphasized the principles of justice, transparency, and mutual respect, contributing to improved institutional performance and the quality of services provided.
