His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, received today, Thursday, at his office at the Governorate’s headquarters, the Director General of Education in the Eastern Province, Dr. Munira bint Badr Al-Mahashir, to present the key provisions of the General Education System.
His Royal Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province praised the support and attention the education sector receives from the wise leadership—may Allah support it—and its commitment to developing the educational system and enhancing the quality of its outcomes. He emphasized that developing education is a fundamental pillar in human development and in preparing a qualified generation equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to the development journey and keep pace with future requirements.
Al-Mahashir presented to His Royal Highness an overview of the General Education System and its organizational and legislative foundations aimed at developing the education system, enhancing governance, and raising performance quality in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The system contributes to building a more efficient, flexible, and sustainable educational system; enhances the integration of roles among relevant entities; regulates the participation of the private and non-profit sectors; and supports investment and qualitative partnerships to elevate the quality and sustainability of educational services.
In conclusion, Dr. Al-Mahashir expressed her thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province for his continued interest in and follow-up on the educational journey in the region.
