His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, received today (Tuesday) at his office in the Emirate headquarters Eng. Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al Abdulkarim, President of the Saudi Water Emirate.
His Royal Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province highlighted the leadership’s continued support for the water sector as a vital pillar of development and sustainability. He noted the Eastern Province’s continued growth across various sectors, accompanied by population, urban, and industrial expansion, emphasizing that ensuring sustainable and efficient water services is essential to supporting development and enhancing quality of life across the region.
Eng. Al Abdulkarim presented an overview of the Emirate’s key activities and regulatory and supervisory initiatives, including monitoring the performance of service providers and their compliance with applicable regulations and requirements. He also reviewed the Emirate’s efforts to develop water services, enhance water supply security, and keep pace with the region’s population, urban, and industrial growth.
The presentation also covered performance indicators and the Emirate’s objectives for further developing the sector’s regulatory framework and strengthening coordination among government entities, service providers, and other relevant stakeholders. These efforts aim to facilitate the timely resolution of issues, enhance service efficiency and reliability, safeguard beneficiaries’ rights, and strengthen the sector’s readiness to meet the region’s growing development needs.
