His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, witnessed today, Sunday, at his office at the Governorate’s headquarters, the signing of a cooperation agreement between the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification and the Friends of the Environment Association.
His Royal Highness emphasized that protecting and developing vegetation cover is an important aspect of preserving the environment and ensuring the sustainability of its resources. He highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts between government entities and non-profit organizations to strengthen environmental initiatives and maximize their impact in serving the environment and the community.
Eng. Yousef bin Sulaiman Al-Badr, Director General of the Eastern Province Branch of the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification, explained that the agreement aims to promote the sustainable development of the region’s mangrove forests, contributing to efforts to expand vegetation cover, preserve the environment, and enhance environmental sustainability across the Eastern Province.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification by Eng. Yousef Al-Badr, Director General of the Eastern Province Branch, and on behalf of the Friends of the Environment Association by Dr. Talal bin Sultan Al-Rasheed, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
