Governor Sponsors Graduation Ceremony for Specialized Diploma Graduates

His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, sponsored today, Wednesday, at the Emirate headquarters, the graduation ceremony of the first cohort of graduates from specialized diploma programs in rehabilitation and early intervention at Shama’at Al-Tawhad Company. His Highness also inaugurated the company’s branch in Qatif Governorate.

HRH the Governor affirmed that caring for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and developing the services provided to them and their families are important aspects that contribute to enhancing their abilities and promoting their integration into society. His Highness noted that preparing specialized national talent in rehabilitation and early intervention is a key pillar for improving service quality and developing specialized programs, creating a positive and sustainable impact for beneficiaries and their families.

During the ceremony, Eng. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Abdulkarim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shama’at Al-Tawhad Company, delivered a speech highlighting the company’s continued efforts to develop specialized services and programs for individuals with autism spectrum disorder. He explained that the company implements training and rehabilitation programs in partnership with several relevant entities, including Taif University and the Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf), through specialized diploma programs that lead to employment in rehabilitation and early intervention.

Al-Abdulkarim noted that the first cohort successfully completed the program’s training requirements, with 37 male and female graduates. The program also provided more than 44,000 hours of practical training, reflecting the developmental and social impact of these initiatives. He added that the ceremony coincided with the inauguration of a new company branch in Qatif Governorate as part of its expansion plans for this year.

He added that these achievements build on ongoing efforts to develop specialized services and expand access to them. He expressed his appreciation to HRH the Governor for sponsoring the ceremony and supporting the company’s initiatives and specialized programs, as well as to Taif University and the Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf) for their cooperation in the success of the program.
