His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, reviewed at the Emirate headquarters, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, the efforts of the Eastern Province Municipality, security authorities, and participating entities in organizing the Saudi National Day celebrations.
His Royal Highness the Governor stated that Saudi National Day is an occasion to recall the journey of unification whose foundations were laid by the Founder, King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, with the support of his men. The journey of development continued under his sons, the Kings, and has reached the Kingdom’s current era of progress under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
His Royal Highness noted that this journey is founded on firmly established principles rooted in the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet, as well as the unity and solidarity of the Saudi people and the security, stability, and abundant blessings bestowed upon the Kingdom. Foremost among these is the care of the Two Holy Mosques, serving pilgrims and visitors, and ensuring the safe performance of Hajj rituals. He prayed to Allah Almighty to protect the leadership and preserve the Kingdom’s security, unity, and prosperity.
Eng. Fahad bin Mohammed Al Jubair, Mayor of the Eastern Province, explained that the Eastern Province Municipality organized and participated in the Saudi National Day celebrations through an integrated framework encompassing planning, preparations, site readiness, and enhanced preparedness of public facilities and squares in coordination with various entities. The Municipality also implemented a range of cultural, entertainment, and community programs and events across the region’s cities and governorates, providing citizens, residents, and visitors with an integrated national experience reflecting the Eastern Province’s vibrancy and diversity.
Al Jubair added that the support and directives of His Royal Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province, along with the follow-up of His Royal Highness the Deputy Governor, directly contributed to unifying efforts and strengthening coordination among the various entities, transforming the occasion into an integrated institutional effort serving the community. He emphasized that the success of the celebrations was the result of coordinated efforts, particularly those of the security sectors in managing traffic and crowds, enhancing safety, and securing event locations.
