Program Overview

The National Transformation Program is one of the Saudi Vision 2030 Vision Realization Programs. It focuses on developing government operations, enhancing digital transformation, improving the efficiency of government services, enhancing beneficiary experience, supporting sustainable development, and strengthening integration among government entities.

The Program’s Relevance to the Emirate’s Work

The Eastern Province Emirate supports the program’s objectives by developing digital government services, increasing the maturity of electronic processes, enhancing government integration, improving data quality, enhancing beneficiary experience, and building institutional and digital capabilities.

Related Initiatives and Activities

The Emirate’s initiatives have included the development of electronic portals and mobile applications, enhancing digital trust and electronic signature services, and developing document management, electronic archiving, administrative and financial systems, human resources systems, and administrative communications systems.

The efforts have also included strengthening electronic connectivity and integration with government entities, developing enterprise architecture, digital performance indicators, data quality and classification, user experience assessment, and digital project management. 

Key Achievements 

  • The Eastern Province Emirate has achieved advanced positions in digital transformation assessments, reflecting its continued progress in developing digital government services, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing beneficiary experience.
  • The Emirate has also launched electronic integration for incoming and outgoing correspondence between the Ministry of Interior and the Emirate, activated electronic integration with a number of border centers, and enabled digital ID cards for the Emirate’s employees through the Tawakkalna application.
