His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, received today (Wednesday) at his office in the Emirate headquarters Sultan bin Abdullah Al Shalati, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Athar Association for Volunteer Work, accompanied by members of the Board.
His Royal Highness the Deputy Governor emphasized the importance of volunteer work in strengthening social cohesion and promoting the values of giving and social responsibility. He also highlighted its contribution to advancing development, building social capital, and enabling members of society to actively contribute to serving the Kingdom, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Al Shalati presented an overview of the Association’s efforts in volunteer work and its programs and initiatives aimed at developing volunteer practices, improving their organization, strengthening the role of volunteerism in society, and promoting a culture of volunteering. He also highlighted efforts to encourage community participation in volunteer initiatives and build effective partnerships with relevant entities, in addition to the Association’s key achievements, targets, and future plans to maximize the impact of volunteer work and expand its scope.
Al Shalati expressed his appreciation to His Royal Highness the Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province for his continued attention and support for volunteer work, affirming the Association’s commitment to further developing its programs and initiatives and increasing their community impact.
